Aruanda - Capoeira Apeldoorn

We are a capoeira school created on August 3, 2024 by Formado Maré (Rodrigo Valentim) and to be officially founded in 2026, when the responsible person's visa ceases to be HSM (Highly Skilled Migrant) and becomes permanent, thus complying with Dutch law.

We have a simple objective: to use this Brazilian tradition and martial art for the social inclusion of everyone who is curious, energetic, and willing to discover the value that capoeira has.

We use serious training focused on the technical, physical, and tactical development of capoeira as an effective combat system, maintaining its oldest traditions.

We also adapt the newer and more popular traditions, such as dance, musicality, game, and acrobatics, so that our students have the opportunity to acquire the necessary knowledge to play capoeira regardless of the person, school, location, or style.

We chose the name Aruanda for our school due to its symbolism and meaning, which in a simplified way we can say is a place of peace, freedom, and return to origins.

As we teach all capoeira styles in a customized way in each class, regardless of age, gender identity, origin, previous experience, or any other differences, this innovative approach is created and constantly evolving. Therefore, we named our method Capoeira Apeldoorn and included it in the school name.
